Terms of Service

MacnifyIt is provided by Chow Min Thian (an individual trader), Malaysia (“we”, “us”). Website: https://macnifyit.com/. App and licence support: support@macnifyit.com. These terms govern your use of our macOS app and website. By buying a licence, or by downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it, to buy a licence.

We grant a non-exclusive licence for personal and commercial use, including client work, subject to these terms. One licence code activates one Mac that you personally use; a replaced or repaired Mac receives a replacement code from support. You keep your rights in your photographs and exports. You must have permission to process the files you use. Do not resell the app or distribute licence keys without permission. This restriction does not limit rights that applicable law gives you.

The free trial includes 12 full-resolution exports and unlimited previews. Only successful exports count; failed or stopped exports do not. No account is required. After confirmed payment, your licence code is supplied by email, sent automatically from support@macnifyit.com to the address you gave at checkout within one hour, and usually within a few minutes. Activating the code online ties it to one Mac; the licence then renews quietly about once a month when the Mac is online and works offline in between. If a licence is revoked, for example after a refund required by law or by Paddle’s Buyer Terms, the app returns to its trial rules at the next renewal. Your purchase includes 12 months of updates from the date of purchase. After that, your licence remains valid indefinitely for the versions it covers. Those versions keep working on compatible hardware and macOS. Later updates are optional; later versions may be offered separately, on terms we will publish on our website when they are released, and you never have to buy them to keep using the versions your licence covers. There is no subscription or automatic renewal.

MacnifyIt requires macOS 14 or later, on Intel or Apple silicon. Future hardware and operating-system compatibility is not guaranteed. “Exact” describes Lanczos-3 resampling in linear light; it does not promise additional captured detail. Supported metadata, profiles, transparency and bit depth depend on the export format and settings. Keep source files and check exports before relying on them.

The price is US$29, paid once. Applicable taxes and the total are shown before payment. A later advertised price does not change a completed purchase. Paddle is the merchant of record and authorised reseller for all orders. Your purchase transaction is with Paddle under its Buyer Terms; these MacnifyIt terms govern the app licence. Paddle handles checkout, payment, applicable transaction taxes, billing enquiries and refunds. Contact Paddle buyer support for those matters. All sales are final after the free trial; for statutory remedies see our Refund Policy. Paddle’s transaction terms do not remove additional rights we promise or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The app sends no telemetry and does not upload your photos. Its only network use is licence activation, the quiet monthly renewal and an optional once-a-day update check (see Update check): activation and renewal send your licence code and a hashed identifier for your Mac to our activation provider, Cloudflare, which also receives your IP address (abuse logs keep IP addresses for up to 24 hours). App use is otherwise separate from the website, purchase and support data described in our Privacy Policy. For app or licence help, contact support@macnifyit.com. Support is by email. It covers installing, activating and using MacnifyIt and licence questions; billing and payment questions go to Paddle. We reply as soon as we reasonably can but do not promise a response time.

Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We will use reasonable care and skill in providing MacnifyIt and will describe its features accurately on our website. If MacnifyIt is faulty or not as described, the remedies the law gives you apply. Following any refund required by law or by Paddle’s Buyer Terms, your paid licence ends and you must stop using it. We may end your licence if you materially breach these terms, for example by reselling the app or sharing licence keys. Where the breach can be fixed we will email you first and give you a reasonable time to fix it. You may stop using MacnifyIt at any time. None of this affects rights the law gives you. We will date revised terms and provide notice where legally required. Changes will not remove the perpetual licence already purchased. We will announce material changes on this page and, where the law requires, by email to the address on your order.

These app-licence terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, subject to mandatory protections and forum rights where you live. To make a complaint, email support@macnifyit.com and we will try to resolve it in good faith. Disputes we cannot resolve will be brought in the courts of Malaysia, without removing any right you have to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
